Schnurman Voice Studios with studios located in New York City and New Jersey provides voice students the opportunity to study with the renowned Juilliard-trained singing teacher, Steven Schnurman. Steven also currently teaches students across the country and all over the world, via SKYPE video conferencing.
Steven Schnurman has been teaching professional and aspiring professional singers his distinctive vocal technique for over 25 years. His reputation as a world-class singing teacher has attracted students who are award-winning Broadway and Operatic singers, well-known pop and folk singers, cabaret singers, and band leaders.
Steven graduated with Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City, where he studied under the esteemed voice teacher Beverley Johnson, who also trained many great singers, including the world-renowned opera singer, Renee Fleming.
While at Juilliard Mr. Schnurman was the recipient of both the prestigious Herbert W Weinstock and Arthur Ross awards.
Steven's teaching methods have been universally lauded by industry professionals. Mr. Schnurman incorporates his successful physiological techniques and his keen ability to find individual solutions to singers' vocal problems and needs with the legendary training methods of Mrs. Johnson. While most voice teachers teach singers based upon what sounds good to them, Steven Schnurman teaches singing based upon physiology. He understands that hundreds of muscles must work together in unison, and not against one another, in order to create a strong, free and beautiful vocal production.
Schnurman is currently holding auditions for new students. If you are a professional singer or aspire to be one, and you have the desire to learn this successful and unique singing technique from one of the finest voice teachers in the world, you can now do so in his studio, conveniently located in the heart of the theater district, in his Cranbury NJ studio or via SKYPE Video Conferencing.
